We were honored to collaborate on the public art installation at RIM Park in Waterloo, Ontario, known as “Vessels”, working closely with artist Stephen Cruise.
The installation consists of five groupings of boulders, each crowned with a carved granite acorn that symbolizes key moments in the region of Waterloo’s history. Our team sourced and supplied the granite for these acorns, which were crafted in various colors, featuring a matte finish on top and a polished surface on the bottom.
In addition to the granite acorns and boulders, we contributed to the creation of a table and seating elements made from limestone. These pieces feature intricate patterns that were sandblasted into the stone.
This installation highlights the seamless collaboration between our technical expertise and Stephen’s remarkable artistic vision. We love coming together with artists and architects – and this is a project we’re very proud of.
