Caledonia - honed finish and flamed finish

The Royal Canadian Yacht Club (RCYC), originally established in 1852, is one of Toronto’s longstanding private clubs, with facilities located both in the city and on the Toronto Islands. As part of a broader restoration programme between 2018 and 2021, works included upgrades to the building envelope and accessibility improvements.

HGH Granite was engaged by Everest Restoration to support the replacement of deteriorating limestone elements at the clubhouse. The project involved supplying granite for the new base and steps, working in coordination with Trinity Custom Masonry, who carried out the installation.

To support the process, HGH provided detailed shop drawings based on complex site measurements, ensuring accurate fabrication and fit of the replacement components. The completed works provide a durable stone solution aligned with the building’s ongoing restoration and long-term use. Proud to have been a part of this project.
