The Uxbridge Firefighters’ Memorial stands as a tribute to the courage and sacrifice of firefighters who have lost their lives in active service or in the line of duty.
It was unveiled on October 5th, 2024, to coincide with the 150th anniversary of the Uxbridge Fire Department.
Located in Uxbridge, Ontario, the powerful public monument was created in collaboration with Stouffville Monuments and features Jet Black granite (supplied by HGH Granite), formed into five joined pieces. Each one is engraved with heartfelt tributes to fallen firefighters, preserving their legacy and service for generations to come.
Adding to the depth and detail of the installation are bronze elements created by Ontario-based sculpture and casting specialists Artcast Inc. These include a life-sized firefighter figure, boots, helmet, bucket, and hose, which bring the scene to life with symbolic realism. Our team at HGH worked carefully to mount these bronze elements to the granite base, ensuring they were securely and precisely positioned to complete the memorial.
